Research topics
Our purpose is to study Combinatorial Optimisation problems issued
from the design systems on chips. We help the researchers to formalize
their optimisation problems using classical tools of the operational
research (Linear programming, graph problems, flow problems..etc..)
and we study efficient methods to solve them. Their problems usually
involved an important number of components and the complexity of
these methods are often crucial for the performance of their tools.
During the last few years, we studied the following problems :
- The minimization of the surface of the buffers for the design
of embeded systems ;
- Memory Management Optimization Problems for Integrated Circuit
Simulators ;
- Scheduling the instructions of a test-processor ;
- Refinement of a Rectilinear Steiner tree.
